A FUND-RAISING WALK FOR RYEDALE CHARITES TOGETHER
SATURDAY JUNE 5th 2010
The members of Ryedale Charities Together are keen to build on the success of last year’s Rail and Trail Walk and will be running another event this summer.
The walk is taking place in full partnership with the North York Moors Railway and rail transport for walkers to or from their five stations will be provided as part of the fee – making this a great bargain! It will use public footpaths and bridleways adjacent to the line of the railway from Pickering to Grosmont.
The date to put in your diaries is Saturday June 5th 2010 – and you can have both a healthy and enjoyable day out and help to raise funds for the seven well-established and valuable charities that make up Ryedale Charities Together.
Prices have not been increased, so for a modest fee of £10 for a single walker, £16 for a walking couple or £20 for a family, those taking part will be able to choose a walk between 4 and 18 miles to suit their ability and travel to or from their walk on the North York Moors Railway.
The arrangements, which were highly praised by those who took part in 2009, will be the same as last year. The routes are well-marked and stewarded and the pack provided on registration contains not only a map, but also a detailed description of the route – so less experienced walkers will be well supported.
